Hustings Info - For all the Green people!

For those of you Bowlanders who want to help run the college by being part of the JCR, like the green officer, please get down to the bar and sign your name up for a position you want to run for. You will need the names of one proposer and a seconder.

Unfortunately, the Green Officer Position will not exist next year, however, Green issues will be run by the Equal Opps representative. If you are interested in tackling issues on: recycling, disabilities, LGBT, International Students, etc, then that is the position you want to run for!

As Green Officer, my Activities involved things such as getting involved with One World Week - helping to organise events, Recycling - discussing campaigns and initiatives run campus-wide, Collections of food for the Homeless, etc and being the main port of call for Bowland in environmental issues.

If you are interested in running for a position, get down to the bar and sign up for your desired position, if you are particularly interested in running for the Equal opps position, and want to know more about the green side of it, please contact me on D.Ramchurn@lancaster.ac.uk

If you would like to know more about the Core of the Equal opps work (LGBT,Students with Disabilities), and the International Students side, then please speak to Esme Young (current equal opps representative) or Anshul Chauhan. Alternatively contact me and I can pass the queries onto them!
